Dr. Thurn serves his clients in domestic and foreign cases in patent, trademark and license matters. He is particularly experienced in patent prosecution and in opposition, nullity and infringement proceedings.

His technical focus is on the fields of mechanics, electrical engineering and electronics, telecommunication, software, electromedical engineering, optoelectronics, printing technology and automobile engineering.

Dr. Thurn obtained his degree in electrical engineering and electronics from the Technical University of Berlin, Germany, and wrote his doctoral thesis on optoelectronic sensors. Dr. Thurn worked at Schering AG for three years, where he contributed, as assistant to the management, to a market survey on new technologies conducted by the management consultancy firm McKinsey. He joined our firm in 1987.
